About Election Results NG

Election Results NG is an independent, non-partisan project. We watch INEC's Result Viewing portal (IReV), keep a copy of every polling-unit result sheet (form EC8A) that is uploaded, and show how far uploads have got in each local government area, ward and polling unit.

We are not INEC

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or funded by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) or any government body, party or candidate. Nothing on this site is an official result. Only INEC declares results; IReV at inecelectionresults.ng is the official source of the sheets we copy.

Why we built it

• IReV can be slow or unreachable when everyone checks it at once. Our copies stay available.
• It is hard to tell from IReV how many sheets are still missing in a given area. We show that at a glance.
• When IReV replaces a sheet, the earlier image disappears. We keep every version we saw, with timestamps.

What we don't do

We don't read, total or project the figures on sheets, and we don't endorse any party or candidate. If we ever add machine-read figures, they will be clearly labelled as unofficial and linked to the sheet they came from.

Funding

The site is paid for by advertising. Advertisers have no say over what we publish.
